Comfort & Calm

Black Cohosh and Sage are two of the most historically used botanicals for supporting women's comfort during the transition years. Black Cohosh's triterpene glycosides support the body's natural thermal regulation mechanisms. Sage's rosmarinic acid and flavonoids support nervous system calm and the body's natural thermal balance. Together they form the transition comfort layer of Wise Woman.

Vitality Support

Shatavari, Dong Quai, and White Peony represent the convergence of three traditional medicine systems. Shatavari from Ayurveda supports the HPA axis and overall vitality. Dong Quai from TCM supports circulation and the warming vitality that TCM associates with women's energy. White Peony from TCM supports the cooling and nourishing balance that complements Dong Quai. Together they cover what no single herb can.

Cortisol Support

Reishi and Rhodiola support the stress resilience and nervous system regulation that the transition years require. The nervous system becomes more sensitive during this life phase. Chronic stress compounds everything. Supporting the HPA axis and nervous system regulation with adaptogens is the upstream intervention that helps everything else in the formula work more effectively. This is the layer that addresses what modern life adds to a transition that was already complex.

Clarity & Memory Support

Lion's Mane and Schisandra support the cognitive clarity, memory, and mental sharpness that women consistently identify as central to how they want to feel during this phase. Lion's Mane supports NGF activity and neural resilience. Schisandra supports cognitive function and mental clarity through its lignan compounds and adaptogenic properties. Mental sharpness is not separate from women's vitality at this stage it is part of it.

Liver & metabolic support

White Peony and Burdock support healthy liver function and the body's natural metabolic processing. The liver plays a central role in clearing and processing the compounds that influence the body's hormonal environment. Supporting healthy liver function is a foundational element of women's vitality support often overlooked in favour of more direct hormonal claims but essential to how the body naturally maintains balance.

Wise Woman

This is not a decline. It is a transition.

Every culture that has valued plant medicine has recognised the wisdom years as a significant transition rather than a diminishment. The herbs in Wise Woman have been used in those cultures to support that transition for thousands of years. Not to fight it. Not to reverse it. To support the body's natural navigation of it.
